Under Step 1 it says to go here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Explorer -> VolumeCaches
Right click on the "Compress old files" registry key, and delete it.

I go to mine and it has the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> InternetExplorer -> Low Rights -> Elevation Policy

There is no VolumeCaches

Re: Spring Clean Up

i think you want to be going to Explorer not InternetExplorer...

These are two different things, and if you go to Explorer, you're likely to come across what you really need :)

Explorer is Windows "file explorer" - the thing that let's you browse files on your computer, general day to day desktop stuff, going in to "my computer", looking at folders, and also relates quite strongly to a lot of the internal workings of Windows (hard-drive accesses etc.).

"Internet Explorer" is just a web browser, and nothing to do with that registry setting!
