They are both very nice and helpful! however, i like the spy stripper of antisback better, because i dont have to scroll all the way down to see the defending IDs.
@Polo: maybe you can include this information further up on the spy page? that would be a big improvemnt!
another critisicm: the loading of the spy pages takes much longer now that i have polos extension installed, probably because of the "x ticks ago" information. this information is really valuabe sometimes, but it would be handy to be able to switch it off/on, since i dont always need this information and it slows the loading time down a lot, at least on my computer.
i switched back to antisback because of the above reasons.

Included the spy stripper? Maybe I misunderstood you but my extension does have a spy stripper...Although maybe you didn't see it as it was displayed at the bottom of the spy. But if you update the extension, it now shows at the top which should make things a lot easier.Rosa said:cervantes said:I switched from antisback to polos to try it out a few hours ago.

My thoughts exactly...
Polo, your tool extension would be even more awesome if it included the spy stripper, that's pretty much the only reason why I am using these tool bars in the first place.
As I said in reply to him, it hardly adds any time onto the loading of the page. At least, for me...Rosa said:And I also agree with the last point that Cervantes made, the whole - x ticks ago - thing makes my firefox take so long to load, in fact I think I just loaded a spy report for over a minute.
This is possible. I'll think about it.Rosa said:Though unlike Andy, I want to ask for a more complex solution. If possible could you make it so instead of just turning it off, make it so we can choose the ticks? What I mean is, when I look at a spy report I really only care about like the past 10 ticks. - to see who's defending and what eta. So if possible could it be changed so that we (the users) can select how many ticks ago we want to see? - So like, we can just turn it off, or just view stuff from 10 ticks ago or all the ticks ago.
Tbh, when I started running the extension I thought spies were taking far too long to load so I did some testing and realised it's actually not that much longer than it is without the extension. Some spy reports can take ages to load even without the extension if a lot has happened to that ID.cervantes said:@Polo:
I just updated your extension and tried it out. Now that the info is given on top of the spy report i really like it! Very useful! Nice work, thank you!
About the loading times, yeah, i didnt really pay attention how much longer exactly it is loading, it just felt much more when i was browsing for some targets earlier today, but maybe it is just a subjective feeling :S
@Rosa and Polo:
why not make it last 10 (20) ticks as standard? you are right rosa, the only relevant ticks are the last 10, maybe 15 ticks. Sure, the information given from research started and research done ticks might be missing, but i would prefer this over longer loading times.
Polo said:It's 100% accurate. It did mess up last night because of Halloween (according to Azzer Halloween is partially on 31st Oct and partially on 1st Nov) but that's fixed now (Tools -> Addons -> Find Updates, if you haven't got the fix yet).f0xx said:I just have a small question:
When you spy someone the thing that shows how much ticks have passed is extremely helpful, BUT is it 100% correct as we all know that times of day/night change during different seasons, does the toolkit have that in mind?
What do you mean? Screenshot?Loz said:Polo said:It would be more helpful if you said why...Loz said:Antisback tools > polo's
sorry
Any ideas for improvements or extra features would be great.
when i used yours the writeing at the top (funds, id, tick)
they was all messed up
Get a better resolution! Thanks for the screenshot though. I could change it to:Nightmare said:The funds per hour is going into the value of the player.. Maybe change it to Per hr so that the "hour" doesn't run into the value

Wow. I just tested it again on a spy about 10 pages long and it took around 4 seconds rather than 3.5.cervantes said:Polo,
I tested the loading times of spy reports with your/antisback toolkit on or off. i used 2 differnt IDs, one with a shorter, another one with a longer news page. I wrote the loading times down for both extension and for no extension. i did double values to make sure it is correct and averaged the numbers. here is the result:
ID A: shorter spy report:
....................................polo's..........antisback's..........no extension
Page Generation Time:........0,105s..........0,1067s...............0,0959s
Laoding Time:..................5,128s..........0,9165s...............0,571s
ID B: longer spy report:
......................................polo's.........antisback's.........no extension
Page Generation Time:.........0,134s.........0,1996s.............0,1328s
Laoding Time:...................9,629s.........1,737s...............1,127s
As shown here, the page loading time is extremely longer if I use polo's extension, between 8 to 10 times longer. Antisback externsion also increases the loading time, but the effect is less dramatic (about 1.5 to 2 fold increase).
The question is, if this is just my computer, or if it is a general thing.
Yeah, it probably is your laptop. I'm assuming your work has a good internet connection which is why your load times are always under 1 second. My internet at home sucks hence why it takes longer for mine to load. It'll be interesting to see how it performs on your desktop though. My laptop also has 2gb of ram and a core 2 duo CPU.cervantes said:i am running nothing but firefox atm.
in the background antivir is running.
firefox version 2.0.0.12.
but you say in your case it increases from 3.5 to 4, i usually have a loading time of below 1 second when i dont have any extension switched on. weird, but my laptop here at work is rather old, and it isnt running very reliable. I will test it again at home, on my desktop machine with 2 gigs of RAM and core 2 duo CPU. i will keep you posted, maybe it indeed is just related to my smeg laptop...
my internet here at work is very fast (around 45MbBits up and down)Polo said:Yeah, it probably is your laptop. It changed seasons.Nitrous said:I don't know if this is just my account or not. BUT yesterday evening I installed the plugin (Sorry Antisback <3); and it said I would earn 3 billion every hour. However now it says I will earn 2.7 billion every hour. :?
Can anyone help?
Agreed. But I will take a look at the code and see if I can speed it up. If not I'll add preferences so the user can choose what information is displayed.f0xx said:Well all the information a spy report gives with polo's extension is worth the extra few seconds tbh
