i need help on 2 things that i really cant remember

a) has the rounds always been 90 days long except when azzer has just recently dropped it to 75

b)when attacking in a wave or defending a wave, on a news report when it says [r/m] xxxxxxx allieds troops killed xxxxxx troops. do they get the same ratios for each tick. i.e [r] xxxx allied troops killed xxxx troops [m] xxxx allied troops killed xxxx or is the effectiveness changed?

hope you can work b) out im not that good at explaining things

[ 12:41 ] < Martin > a) It used to be longer, and got shortened as it got stagnent, they were never shorter than this as he was worried people wouldn't buy the P-Units.
[ 12:41 ] < Martin > b) There is a random factor built into the battle ticker so you will pretty much never get exactly the same ratios per BR

[12:43] [ 12:43 ] < Terrakan > did you understand what i meant in b) i didnt know if i worded it right
[12:43] [ 12:43 ] < Martin > umm
[12:43] [ 12:43 ] < Martin > Does my answer to b answer your question?
[12:45] [ 12:45 ] < Terrakan > [range] 4,985,213 hostile Terrorist Leader attacked, killing 5,100,291 allied staff. [r/m] 4,760,426 hostile Terrorist Leader attacked, killing 8,491,384 allied staff.
[12:45] [ 12:45 ] < Martin > ok
[12:45] [ 12:45 ] < Martin > Well by looking at them ratios, there was less INN the first BR?
[12:45] [ 12:45 ] < Terrakan > yeah
[12:45] [ 12:45 ] < Martin > So that's why they killed more, as there were more 'wussy' troops to kill
[12:46] [ 12:46 ] < Martin > But for example if you fight 10mil TLs vs 50mil Ninjas - due to the random factor added into the battles the values would probably never match, no matter how many times you re-did the battle
[12:46] [ 12:46 ] < Martin > Obviously with battles of other units you can have Hools stripping which makes units easier to kill and things too
[12:48] [ 12:48 ] < Terrakan > what i meant is because the TL are firing both r/m is there effectiveness affected because they have to fire over both ticks?
[12:48] [ 12:48 ] < Martin > oh
[12:48] [ 12:48 ] < Martin > No
[12:48] [ 12:48 ] < Martin > They still do the same amount of damage, just the variety of units may have allowed the 'number' of kills to be higher
[12:49] [ 12:49 ] < Terrakan > kk
[12:49] [ 12:49 ] < Terrakan > ty martin

I noticed a variance of 15% in the performance of one unit over two ticks recently, which I'm pretty sure was independent of all factors other than the system's inherent randomness although I can't remember even being aware of such a high degree of chance before. I'm not sure if my memory's faded or the numbers have changed.

true charlie,

as far as i have heard and experienced there are a few extra unknown factors:
Night-Day difference (vamps)

and i also believe that poms do different ratios on range and middle (best example as nothing really changes)

i guess this could apply to every unit.

but tbh, the differences arent that extreme that you need to "work them out"

its just extra randomness for the sake of making battlecalcs impossible.

btw this isnt based on facts its just my experience.
