• Those wishing to contribute to the game by making suggestions (both small and large) should read the following before doing so.

Bushtarion largely runs completely automatically, and has been designed intentionally to be as self-maintaining as possible, with mechanics and balance considered at a completed point.

Please do not spend large amounts of time coming up with complex suggestions in the hope that they will be read and possibly implemented in the future, unless you just enjoy the discussion, theory-craft, and such.

The most likely changes will be rules-changes, specific number-tweaks to units, techs, and similar sorts of changes, and only if a large community consensus is reached as "proof" that a change would, overall, be an improvement, and are more likely to be done in batches, occassionally, not as a regular thing.

Call me a n00b, I am, I'll accept it.
I just wish that the whole game were less predictable, much more scrappy.
Every route has a major weakness, which means you can be totalled easily with the right ratios.
Nearly every route also has a major strength too, which means it can totally decimate someone too.
This, I can easily see, is much more balanced, when you start coming to the top alliances, as they all have all the routes and counter-routes, and so battles become more fair.
But lower down in the rankings, where I reside, Its either zero or be zeroed, and I think that this is half the reason new players find this game so inaccessible, because they'll get themselves a rubbish route setup/ratio, which they don't know how to play, and get wiped for all their hard effort. And then quit and never come back to what originally seemed an interesting game.
So my suggestion is this: Make the existing routes much less specialized, giving all at least a small chance against each other.
OR: Create a generic unit that you can't go wrong with investing in....
Please, if I'm wildly mistaken, I'd love to know why, and I take all criticism gladly :)
Thanks for your time.

nah its not too specialized, you just need to find the route that suits your playstyle best...like when your really active poms is probably the best route to play...but if your very inactive then bunkers is probably best and in between those two there are the other routs that might suit you best and a switch of ratios can easily turn you into a route that better for a purpose like a assasin heavy SO is good vs robo while a SA heavy SO is good vs rpg

i agree that the initial complexity of bush is probably its greatest downfall, but its also the reason why people who get into the game tend to quick around imo.

The problem with having a generic unit that is a safe bet against all routes is that surely the opposing player will have invested in that unit also.

maybe it would be better to have a description on the tech trees which indicates the routes strengths and weaknesses?

it is nice to have variety of routes if they weren't specialised then we may as well have 1 generic route. it is nice to hear from new players as they give a vital perspecive of the game, keep posting and dont be afraid to be wrong(i usually am) :D
