Just organise a scary first-tick defence and any SQs will pull for sure. Otherwise just accept that once you pop into Rank 1 range then you're gonna get hit, nature of the beast.

Do you think if Combo or Anagram or whatever were Rank 1 it'd be any different? Everyone is a critic until they are up top doing the exact thing they've moaned about.

At least we don't pile up on 1 tick and make it literally impossible to defend. If you organised a good chunk of your players then you could fend it off, or make it so that we take substantial losses. We had more than our valuation of troops attacking during resistance but with good planning then you can overcome the majority of attacks.

Grab it by the balls and organise yourself some defence. The only way to learn how is to practise.

Thanks Twigs. I would've offered myself but it's not really possible as I'll most likely be involved in some capacity and couldn't be relied on to give unbiased assistance.

Sorry to get fired up, but it's not like these are unfair tactics. I remember waking up to see 7 TBA members on a tick and trying desperately to get people on to cover it, and we managed to quite often. Same with their waves.

(Not a dig at TBA btw Twiggo, just an example of how even overwhelming opposition can be discouraged from staying on an attack with the right defence.)

Well to be honest we had a really bad rank 1 route set up as we were trying to get rank 2 but ended up being annoyed at Charades . No RPG, 1 inactive robo, 1 Inactive SA, 4 Pom's, 3 Rangers, 3 Thiefs, 2 PB. Was very easy for you to just mass SA and make almost anything recall but you still managed to get people on from about 50% of the round inwards. Even at this point currently in the round, Charades were not much ;P. Also i think Charades were far more "FTW" than the current rank 2 alliance, that being contactable and active. Not taking anything away from you guys though.

Like i say every round. Other alliance's are so lucky that rank 1 just does this kind of attacking. Last round in TBA after we won the round we didn't organise any proper attacks whatsoever even though we really needed to with our route set up. We just sent, came back and made last second decisions to stay or recall. Be grateful.

I'm aware of that Twigley, and your lack of AR was basically the reason we could get you to pull so often. Still, I wasn't really referring to any attacks in particular, just giving an example from experience that was relevant to his position.

I agree that Charades was more dedicated than the current Rank 2-5 in contactability terms at the very least. Still, this is fairly prime Euro time (We know they don't have any kiwis ;o ) so there should be enough online that a well planned defence will make people crap their pants and not want to lose their precious scorez so they'll pull.
