Combo vs Anagram | R41

I don't believe Guff has acted maliciously. He was a reliable and active member of Combo - he left for the same reason I did, I believe - That the alliance as a whole were failing to solidify its rank 2 position by properly warring Anagram - a lot of members seemed more than content to sit on land and seeds and wait for a rainy day. That rainy day has come in the form of Ana properly engaging Combo in war, and doing a pretty good job of it from what I can see.

Combo did fairly well this round - we proved ourselves a tough nut to crack for Kiwi (the majority of their attacks failing - at least up until the point I left, I don't have eyes in there any more).

Where Combo has fell down is momentum in terms of activity and enthusiasm. We could have had a really good go at Anagram but the enthusiasm for it just wasn't there - Hence why Guff left.

I personally left, and deleted, because the only remaining source of entertainment this round was in fighting Anagram - and they were slowly chipping away at us while we failed to retaliate. From this thread, it appears they've upped their game and are now taking a fair bit of land. Good for them tbh.

Tbh I didn't want Caz in the alliance purely because he had shipped many times before us and I knew how inactive he was but he was allowed in somehow.

From what I saw though, Guff, you had put in a request to join ANR before you 'left' Combo because you reeived defence so suddenly (within the game limit of switching alliances) that I don't believe you had any intention of going solo...but that's your choice. Just could have appreciated some honesty at the time

But, the round isn't over yet.......is it?

As for Guff - I know he was solo first People don't realize that the defense timer isn't as long as you think.. like 6-9 ticks.. That passes quicker than you would think.

I deleted while in Combo purely on the basis that I lost my troops and had no incentive to build myself back up (I had already been a massive liability in Anagram sitting on funds and 5k for 6 weeks - Combo had asked me to do this at round start).
